By using Furmous you agree to these terms. If any of them don’t work for you, please don’t use the service.
Who we are
Furmous is a service operated by Saltr Labs Inc.(BC1552029), a British Columbia corporation. Throughout these terms, “we,” “us,” and “Furmous” refer to Saltr Labs Inc. All contracts entered into via this site are with Saltr Labs Inc.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Furmous. If you’re a parent or guardian buying a gift, that’s fine — you’re the customer of record. Furmous isn’t directed at children under 13 (COPPA).
Your photos
You keep all rights to the photos you upload. By uploading a photo, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to:
- Process the photo through our generation pipeline.
- Store it for the retention period described in our Privacy page.
- Send it to the third-party services we use to deliver the product.
You promise that you have the right to use the photos you upload — they’re yours, or you have permission from whoever took them.
Your outputs
You own the images Furmous generates from your photo. You can use them for personal projects and reasonable commercial use (selling a print of your own pet, using your pet’s image as part of your business’s branding, etc.).
Furmous reserves the right to use anonymized samples (with the pet unidentifiable) for marketing — example galleries, testimonials, social media. If you don’t want this, email hello@furmous.com and we’ll exclude yours.
Prohibited content
You may not upload:
- Photos of identifiable people without their consent (Furmous is for your pet — not your ex, not a stranger).
- Anything illegal, hateful, sexually explicit, or designed to deceive or impersonate.
- Content that infringes someone else’s intellectual property — copyrighted characters, trademarked logos, etc.
We reserve the right to refuse or remove any generation, refund the order, and suspend accounts that repeatedly violate these rules.
IP responsibility
Some presets reference real-world contexts — sports cities, music genres, TV/movie archetypes. We design our prompts to use city colors and broad cultural cues rather than franchise IP, but the AI model can occasionally produce output that resembles a trademarked logo, character, or likeness.
You’re responsible for how you use generated images commercially. If you want to print your pet on a t-shirt for personal use, no problem. If you want to sell hundreds of shirts featuring your pet in what looks like a real team’s jersey, that’s on you to clear with the relevant rights-holders. Furmous makes no representations about the IP status of generated outputs.
Refunds
Our refund policy is the source of truth — see furmous.com/refunds. Short version: digital downloads are non-refundable once delivered; physical merch is fully refundable for defects, damage in transit, or print errors within 30 days.
Liability
Furmous is provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind. We don’t guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free output, or that the generated images will meet your expectations.
Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of Furmous is capped at the greater of $100 USD or the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages. Some jurisdictions don’t allow these limitations, in which case our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.
Changes
We may update these terms occasionally. We’ll change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If we make a material change, we ’ll email anyone with an active order or newsletter subscription.
