What kinds of pets work?

Dogs, cats, rabbits, lizards, parrots, ferrets — if it’s a pet and it’s clearly visible in the photo, the model can handle it. One pet per photo: multi-pet shots confuse it and produce worse results, so upload them separately.

Does the photo need to be anything special?

Accepted Answer

One pet, bright, in focus, face ideally visible. Skip filters, sunglasses, and costumes that hide your pet’s actual features — the model works best when it can see who it’s drawing. A regular phone photo is plenty; there’s no resolution requirement on the upload.

How long does it take?

The render takes about a minute — you’ll see your four designs almost right away. The digital Social Pack downloads instantly at checkout. A printed t-shirt is made to order: production runs a few business days, then shipping on top. Region-by-region timing is on the shipping page.

Do you make custom shirts for cats, dogs, and other pets?

Yes — Furmous makes a custom portrait t-shirt for whatever pet you’ve got. Dogs and cats are the most common, but rabbits, lizards, parrots, ferrets and more all work, as long as your pet is clearly visible in the photo. One pet per design.

Is the art AI-generated?

Accepted Answer

Yes — and we don’t pretend otherwise. Every portrait is rendered by a generative AI model in our signature cartoon line-art style, with a prompt tuned to flatter your pet. It’s AI-rendered, not hand-drawn.

Why is every result one-of-one?

Accepted Answer

The model never renders the same image twice — even the same photo and scene come out different every time. So each set of designs you get is genuinely unrepeatable. That’s the point, not a limitation: there’s deliberately no “generate again” button. You get one batch of four, and it only ever happens once.

What if I don't love the result?

You see all four designs free, watermarked, before you pay a cent. If none of them land, you simply don’t check out — you’ve paid nothing and owe nothing. If you do buy and there’s a real problem with a paid order, email hello@furmous.com and we’ll make it right.

Why is the preview watermarked?

The watermark protects the art before purchase. The moment you check out, the files you download are clean — no watermark, full resolution.

Can I customize the art?

Will the portrait actually look like my pet?

It’s a stylized cartoon, not a photo-realistic copy — but the model reads your pet’s real features from the photo (coat colour, ears, face shape) and renders them in our cartoon line-art style, so it reads as your pet, not a generic animal. A clear, well-lit photo gets you the closest likeness.

What's a Social Pack?

All four of your designs, each in square (1:1) for the feed, vertical (9:16) for Stories and Reels, and a transparent sticker PNG for overlays and custom merch — 12 files total. Full-resolution, no watermark, instant download. No merch, no shipping. $9.

What can I get printed?

Accepted Answer

At launch, a t-shirt — Bella+Canvas 3001 unisex, soft cotton, S–XL, in White, Natural, Ash, or Black, printed and shipped from the US ($34). Or bundle the tee with the Social Pack for $39. More physical formats are coming after launch.

Seeing your designs is always free. You only pay if you want to keep them: Social Pack (digital, 12 files) — $9; T-shirt — $34; T-shirt + Social Pack bundle — $39. Prices shown in your local currency. Shipping is free to the US and Canada.

How do I get my files after I buy?

You get a confirmation email with a private link to your order page. Digital files download straight from that page — bookmark it. Physical merch ships from our print partner; you’ll get a separate tracking email the moment it leaves the warehouse.

What’s the t-shirt quality like?

It’s a Bella+Canvas 3001 unisex tee — 4.2 oz combed and ring-spun cotton, pre-shrunk, side-seamed with a tear-away label. Regular fit, true to size, S–XL, in White, Natural, Ash, or Black. Printed and shipped from the US.

Does a custom pet t-shirt make a good gift?

It’s one of the few gifts that’s genuinely one-of-one. Every design is made fresh for that one pet, so whoever you give it to owns something no one else will ever have. The free preview lets you see exactly how it’ll look before you buy, and the digital Social Pack makes an easy last-minute gift since there’s nothing to ship.

What's your refund policy?

Digital downloads aren’t refundable once delivered — they’re instant and can’t be returned. Physical merch is refunded or replaced for print defects, damage, or the wrong item. Full details on the refunds page.
